Crest Industries is partnering with A Million Thanks to celebrate America's 250th anniversary. From July 6 through November 11, 2026, Crest employees, families, and community members can write letters to active duty military members and veterans, and Crest will handle the processing costs to get them to our heroes.
We cannot accept letters that do not follow A Million Thanks' guidelines below.
For Adults, Middle and High School Students:
Letters can be written on any kind of paper or stationary as long as it is not larger than the standard 8.5" x 11" printer paper.
Start every letter with "Dear Veteran" for all veteran letters and "Dear Hero," "Dear Service Member," "Dear Troops," etc. for active duty members.
Write a minimum of FIVE (5) full sentences – The #1 reason letters end up in the recycle bin is that they are too short. Letters with just a short sentiment will not be delivered.
Write neat and legible; no typing.
No religious or political references.
Sign your first name only.
Do not use glitter, confetti, or loose decorations.
Get creative - get out your crayons, markers or colored pencils. The troops love decorated letters!
For Elementary Students:
Same as above except students can write letters or draw pictures appropriate for their writing ability.
Students should sign their first name and add their age or grade to each letter.
