Avant Organics was named Best New Business at the 2021 Central Louisiana Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, "The Bizzies." Team members from Avant Organics and Crest Industries gathered together on Friday, November 5, to celebrate the recognition and support the businesses community in central Louisiana at the annual event.

Avant Organics was established in February 2021 as a new biotechnology company committed to redefining organic chemistry and advanced biology to help its customers create sustainable products. With strong roots in central Louisiana and an increasing network of support, clientele, and involved community members, Avant Organics is a leading small business with incredible potential to grow, expand and innovate within their industry and the local business community.

“Taking a chance on an idea can really drive a lot of growth and bring a lot to the community,” says Brad Fontenot, President of Avant Organics. “And what’s been the most fun about this startup is the outreach and support from the community.”

At its core, Avant Organics is a collaborative effort from the entire Louisiana business community. Their strong relationship with Crest Industries and partnership with the Central Louisiana Regional Port, Louisiana Economic Development (LED) and their Fast Start™ program, Louisiana Central, the Red River Waterway Commission, and multiple other state and local organizations created the perfect environment for the new business to grow and flourish in central Louisiana.

“We appreciate this award, but we hope that you can measure our success 5, 10, 20 years from now by the jobs we can bring to this region and what we can build in Central Louisiana,” says Fontenot.

Other Crest Industries companies also received nominations at The Bizzies. Beta Engineering was nominated for Best Website, and Crest Industries received three nominations for Best Marketing, Best Curb Appeal, and Best Overall Business in the 2021 awards program.
